Ways to Give

FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDRESS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER:

Childress Regional Medical Center relies on profits from operations and tax revenue to provide patients with the care they require. But we are often asked if there is a way that patients and/or families can do something extra as way to show gratitude.

The following are suggested ways to support the mission of the hospital. Donations to the first 3 are tax deductible.

Childress Medical Endowment Foundation: The foundation is a 501c3 organization founded in 2007. It was organized to accept memorials, honorariums and other donations meant to support the hospital facilities. Interest earned is used to purchase new equipment or furnishings for the hospital.
Kathryn R. Lindley Nursing Scholarship Fund: Kathy Lindley, RN, was the director of the hospital based School of Vocational Nursing for 10 years. In January of 2008, Mrs. Lindley died suddenly. To honor her passion for nursing and young people, CRMC nursing staff established a scholarship fund. The Lindley family is involved in all award decisions.
Homegrown: This fund was established by the hospital district board of directors to assist employees finance educational goals. In exchange for the assistance, employees agree to a service commitment. Money from this fund has been used to finance education for LVNs, RNs, mid-level practitioners, physical therapy assistants, healthcare coders, phlebotomists, etc. Recipients must have at least 1 year's continuous service with the district to apply.
CRMC Employee Scholarship Fund: CRMC employees award scholarships to high school graduates pursuing a career in healthcare. This fund is sustained solely by employee donations. Every spring, an employee committee chooses 2 recipients for a $1,000 scholarship - 1 graduate from Childress High School and 1 graduate from a high school in the area served by the hospital. Applicants must be pursuing a career in healthcare and must demonstrate financial need.
CRMC, Cottle County and Hall County Hospice Volunteers: Hospice volunteers use memorial donations to assist hospice patients and their families with miscellaneous expenses.
